Objective:

  1. Increase the involvement of women and youth in programs that contribute to the principles of peace and security, and to the development of strategy and dialogue.
  2. Increase the knowledge about the Security Council Resolution 1566 of 2004.
  3. Increase the knowledge about extremism and violent extremism.
  4. People will understand more about peacebuilding and social cohesion, and transitional justice

Activities:

  • Conduct Workshops around the Security Council Resolution 1566 of 2004 activation
  • Holding a drawing activity event (A one-day creative event to draw) for 10 boys and girls (they will express throughout their drawings social cohesion and peacebuilding as a kind of prevention of violent extremism and violent extremism
  • Hold four FGDs (Focus Group Discussions), each will include 7 participants (men and women), and (one session for leaders’ women discuss the mechanism of fighting extremism used by police’s institutions)
  • Create 6 videos as awareness against violence and extreme violence
  • Holding a Conference to show the overall project’s work for sustainable effect

The results:

  1. The involvement of women and youth in programs that contribute to the principles of peace and security, and to the development of strategy and dialogue relatively increased.
  2. The knowledge about the Security Council Resolution 1566 of 2004 increased relatively between women and men through Issue brochure.
  3. The knowledge about extremism and violent extremism increased relatively between youth.
  4. People understand more about peacebuilding and social cohesion and transitional justice.
  5. Increased resilience to violent extremism of community members in district
