objectives
1– Iraqi civil society representatives are working to deepen organizational capacities to provide sustainable gender-based violence services.
- Leading local NGOs providing GBV services in Iraq have greater technical capacity to serve the beneficiary population.
- Iraqi civil society organizations gain better organizational capacity to secure sustainable funding to provide services. Preventing and responding to gender-based violence
- Tribal authorities in Diwaniyah / religious leaders, civil society organizations and government partners It works to discourage forced marriage and gender-based violence
2- The institutions of the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government are working to strengthen a unified response to gender-based violence
- The Ministry of Interior in Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, adopts the Code of Ethics and the annexes to the Anti – Terrorism and Violent Extremism Law in its Code of Conduct.
- Iraqi police units have become more prepared to support survivors of gender based violence and provide basic services
- The recently established gender-based violence referral pathways within WHO and the Ministry of Health were supported and expanded to include new governance sectors
- Emergency call operators in the Government of India are better prepared to support and refer GBV cases for emergency response
- The organization obtains a deeper technical capacity to advocate for advanced government policy in the field of gender -based violence
3-Vulnerable population groups receive immediate assistance regardless of their identity in areas where services are currently unavailable
- Government shelters and local NGOs work to improve services and protection Yazidi communities seek support related to gender – based violence on
- Despite the stigmas surrounding gender-based violence, suicide, and mental health including direct service opportunities under the Emergency Response Program LGBTQI+ individuals have additional support to avoid increasing threats to life in IraqOn
Main activities:

- ALManahil support 75 case in Types of legal representation:
- Legal representation for case of custody of minors,
- Legal representation for the case of increasing alimony (second services)
- Legal consultation to initiate a complaint against her divorce for beating committed
- Legal consultation to seeks a divorce and what rights come to her
- AAWD offered services for 335 of GBV survivors received GBV-related MHPSS services who show 90% or more improvements in their psychological wellbeing after receiving MHPSS services
- Provide Beneficiary support costs to support potential costs associated with urgent beneficiary care, including emergency medical assistance, and/or internal relocation of individuals who are determined to be at immediate risk of harm
- Capacity building for staff in ( M&E modules for GBV service partner reporting staff, financial management modules for GBV service partner accounting staff in line with international donor compliance regulation, develop staff care plans for partners’ service staff with support of HAI, Meet with the Ministry of Interior, representatives of the Community Police, and CSO partners to establish the goals for implementing a policing SHEA prevention and enforcement policy, in preparation for the conference titled “Our Mission to Serve our People”
